Last night we had our last meeting for the 2009 - 2010 year!
We had a wonderful speaker - Mrs. Williams - who talked to us about being a Mom and a child of God. Her message was WONDERFUL!
We were able to thank our Mentors and MOPPETS leaders as well!
We rely on these 4 ladies so much! Our Mentors are always there when we have a question and of course our MOPPETS leaders - take care of our babies so we can have fun!
A big Thank You to our coordinators for this past year Jamey and Christine! As well as the rest of the steering team!
We hope that we will have many new mom's join us in September for MOMology!
Look for more details later!

More about us
Okay - so here is what we did this past year
Played Bunco
Learned about Car Seat Safety & gave a donation to the local Pilot Club
Had a Mary Kay "party"
Learned a little about Gardening
Talked with Preschool teachers
Chatted with a Pediatrician
Next year is still in the process of being planned.
The theme is "Momology: The Science and Art of Being a Mom"
I think it sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun!!
Speaking of next year - let me introduce you to our Steering Team
Coordinator - Michelle Smith
Hospitality - Jamey Rivers
Discussion Leaders - Cathy Duke and Kyle Hitchcock
Creative Activities - Autumn Chapman
Public Relations - Tiffany Flournoy
Mentors - Colleen Darlymple and Emily Owens
MOPPETS - Janet Mauldin & Noelle Williamson
We do have dues for our MOPS group.
The dues are $50 - $23.95 of it goes to MOPS International - the remaining stays with our local group. These dues help us to pay for dinner for us and the MOPPETS. It also allows us to do some crafts and sometimes make donations to local charities.
Moms are always welcome to join us and "try" us out for free. If you decide that you want to continue to come to meetings - we do ask that you pay dues.
Again - we welcome all moms who are expecting or have kids ages 0-8 :)
MOPPETS - is the program that we have for kids.
The kids are seperated into different age groups and do age appropriate activites.

Welcome
Hi Everyone -
We started this blog to showcase what we - the ladies of Milledgeville MOPS (FUMC) - have been up to - as well as what we are going to be doing.
This format is a little easier to use than the one on our website - so bookmark both pages :)
Let me just start with telling you a little about our group.
We meet at Milledgeville First United Methodist Church - located on Log Cabin Road in Milledgeville.
Our meetings are held from 6pm - 7:30pm on the 4th Thursday each month from August - May. (Except in November and December - meeting dates are annouced later for those months due to holidays).
Our group invites all Mothers in the area who are expecting or have kids ages 0-8.
We are gearing up for our last meeting for this year - but we are looking forward to next year!
